P&O

A research proposal is used to lay out groundwork when working towards creating a research paper. The main goal of this is so that when others are reading the paper, they can see how the topic being discussed is linked to research. There should also be an introduction in the paper that does a number of things. These things include: creating reader interest in the subject, laying a broad foundation that leads into the subject, place the study within a the larger context of the scholarly literature, and reach out to a specific audience. (The Elements of a Proposal) There should also be a statement of the problem. This problem should stand out and be readily seen by the reader. The problem that is being explored should also fall within the framework that has been laid out previously by the researcher. The study should also have a purpose. Along with a purpose, there should also be a rationale included so that everything is kept within a context.

When the literature is being reviewed for the research paper, it should be shared with the audience. This again lets the audience see exactly what rationale the writer is applying to the subject at hand. Reviewing the literature also shows the readers that you as a writer have a grasp on the subject you are writing about.

With every good research paper, the writer should provide different questions and hypotheses that will be touched on later in the research paper. These are real world concerns that the writer has with the subject matter that the answers are discovered during the course of writing the paper.

And with the final notes, there should be a couple more things that a writer has to include within the research paper are Methods and procedures for designing the paper, limitations and deliminations, references, and appendixes. These items are all very important when writing a research paper. Include all these things and the paper will be complete, organized, and very well written.

The research outline is very straightforward in terms of getting it’s information across. The first part of the outline is the introduction.. simple enough. This should contain the Thesis statement and the focus of the paper. That should be contained within one sentence. The next part of the outline is the key points. Typically there should be more than three but five or less. These are what will be addressed later on in the paper. The next part is the body of the paper. This contains the key points and all the other information one wishes to convey through the paper. There should be different topics for each key point that each have supporting ideas and a connection to the next topic. This should be followed for as many topics are there in the paper. After that is a summary of the topics covered within the paper, a conclusion, then the references page that give credit to the sources used to form the paper.
